TIFF MASSEY is an internationally exhibited artist from Detroit, Michigan. Her work, inspired by African standards of economic vitality and informed by the material culture of 1980s hip-hop, includes both large-scale and wearable sculptures, music and performance. Using contemporary observances of class and race—as seen through the lens of an African diaspora—she combines these motifs with those drawn from her experience in Detroit to create provocative new objects and experiences.
