ANN WILLOUGHBY is a leading voice in graphic design in the United States. She has taught, written, and lectured about the importance of women as design leaders in both business and as a social force—a commitment she models in her own firm, Willoughby Design, by consciously supporting emerging female designers and proactively addressing gender and family issues in the workplace. She was one of first designers to write and speak about sustainability and systems design as a way to measure the economic, social and environmental impact of human activity.
